yard had been unmantained for a couple of years and needed to have several inches of topsoil removed
-
Client asked for a low maintenance yard on a small budget. I opted to spend the majority of the budget on the pebble pathway which took up a large portion of the yard and cut down on area that would need to be mantained.

bath 5 had a 1/2 finished shower with a strange angle that made any standard shower door or curtain difficult. I designed saloon doors which turned out nicely with the sink vanity I made out of an old desk.
-
It would have been difficult to find a vanity to fit perfectly in this space. A recycled desk worked great along with a sink vessel on top.

I was hired to build a small concert stage in a friend's backyard. Took about a week with two of my guys helping.

I enjoy incorporating recycled or remnant materials into projects such as the pathway above and the wall I built below.
I bought a piece of land in a small coastal town of Colombia in 2019 and spent 3 months a year there over the last few years learning spanish and building a house from the ground up. The house is now finished and an Airbnb rental.

Palomino, Colombia Project
Below is a video of the constrution at my house. I designed every aspect of this home from the underground water storage shed, the elevated water tank towers, the rooms/bathrooms. I designed custom windows and doors throughout which were built by a local contractor. I purchased an old 1998 Nissan pathfinder which I used to drive an hour and a half to the City of Santa Marta to pick up loads of materials. It was certainly the most challenging thing I have ever done in my life while also learning the local language, but I learned so much about builidng and construction by doing this project. I managed about 15 workers and had to push hard to get the house done by Christmas deadline. But we did it!
